To coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December, the Federal Employment Agency is hosting a Digital Action Week For Greater Participation in Working Life.
Online consultations available at the end of November
From 25th November to 3rd December, persons with disabilities who are seeking a job or are currently in employment will be able to meet online with companies that operate throughout Germany. The participants will be able to learn about the training and employment opportunities available to persons with disabilities at the various companies and to make contact with potential employers.
Information events for companies
The Federal Employment Agency helps businesses with a wide range of support and funding options for the provision of further education and training to persons with disabilities and their recruitment. These include, for example, funding options for the integration of persons with disabilities into working life, funding for education and training, as well as advice and financial support for the necessary technical equipment to allow employers to better equip workplaces for persons with disabilities. The BA will be informing interested company representatives about the various funding opportunities that are available at an online information event on 3rd December.
Advance registration is not necessary to attend the online events during the Digital Action Week For Greater Participation in Working Life. For further information and technical advice on how to participate in and access each event, visit the website Digital Action Week For Greater Participation in Working Life (available in German).
Events throughout Germany during Persons with Disabilities Week
Federal employment agencies and Jobcenters throughout Germany are once again participating in the Persons with Disabilities Week this year with the motto “inclusion takes us further”. They will be promoting inclusion in the labour market with a variety of information offerings for persons with disabilities, networking partners and employers. The goal is to raise the awareness for the potential offered by persons with disabilities in the labour market and to improve their chances of participation.
