Your role:

In this pivotal role, you will bridge nonclinical research and clinical development, facilitating the translation of scientific discoveries into innovative therapeutic solutions. You will determine key research activities and priorities that support the program's development strategy, ensuring effective knowledge sharing between the Discovery Project Team (DPT) and the Global Project Team (GPT). As the Research Lead, you will provide expertise to the Global Program Steering Team (PST) in developing the program vision and strategy. Your responsibilities will include interpreting data from nonclinical and clinical studies to conceive and execute novel scientific research, both internally and externally. You will maintain close interactions with various teams to ensure transparency and a seamless transition from the discovery phase to clinical development. Additionally, you will coordinate the writing of nonclinical reports within a regulatory framework and analyze nonclinical data from competitors. Your role will also involve driving nonclinical activities and contributing to the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP). You will engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) regarding nonclinical data and support internal and external communication campaigns related to research. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of neuroscience and neuro-immunology.

Who you are:

  • You hold a PhD in Neuroscience or neuro-immunology, with a minimum of 12 years of industry experience.
  • You have proven experience in early and translational research within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • You possess a strong understanding of nonclinical and clinical trial processes, regulatory guidelines, and drug development.
  • You have experience writing nonclinical sections for regulatory documents.
  • You are skilled in collaborating and managing external partners, including academic institutions and Contract Research Organizations.
  • You demonstrate strategic thinking to support program vision and strategy development.
  • You excel in effective communication for cross-functional and cross-hierarchical engagement.
  • You exhibit leadership skills to lead the non-clinical subteam and a comprehensive understanding of previous work conducted on the program.
