(Social) Insurance
Every worker in Germany who earns over 450 euros a month is subject to national insurance payments. In other words, they have to make social security contributions. This comprises various forms of compulsory insurance: health insurance, pension insurance, unemployment insurance, nursing care insurance and accident insurance. The contributions are deducted directly from your earnings and forwarded to the insurance companies.
